ABOUT US
HIS Open Door Ministry, Inc. is a sober living ministry with homes located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The women housed here have access to everything they need to move forward with their lives upon their release from prison, jail, or other programs.
They are surrounded with a strong support system that either assists them or provides the things they need to begin fresh. In addition to a safe place to live, they are encouraged to pursue employment and education opportunities regarding life skills and character building. They attend church, Bible studies, and various recovery classes while being encouraged to reunite with their children as well as to meet their court requirements.
HIS Open Door is partnered with Cognizant Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Resonance Women's Center, Muddy Paws Dog Grooming school, and Mabel Bassett R.I.S.E Program Cosmetology school. Due to commitments from many local employers the women are well trained and ready to enter back into the work force.
These ladies are being given a hand up and not a hand out. Our desire is to help ladies make the right choices and decisions and to become financially independent so that they can live confident productive lives as law abiding citizens.
OUR VISION
To lovingly serve women who are marginally challenged due to incarceration or personal hardship, who are transitioning out of prison, jail, Drug Court, or other various agencies, and who show a sincere desire to have Jesus Christ active in their lives.
MISSION
To disciple, love, encourage, and assist women that are transitioning to be all God wants them to be.
OUR COMMUNITY
The ladies housed here are part of a loving Christian community including Cognizant Church, Muddy Paws School, and Mabel Bassett R.I.S.E Program.
